I took the afternoon off yesterday and stopped by some of my favorites.
No. 1 stop: Paris Flea Market in Powell, Ohio. So many great ideas in 2 rooms. It is one of those places, I can walk in and come home with a million uses for collected “stuff” in my basement and a trip to the paint store. I first discovered this little store when on a treasure hunt with my friend and her daughter when we were looking for inexpensive pieces for her daughter’s first apartment at Ohio University. The owner made the mistake of taking us down to her cellar where she does her magic. Sand paper, hammers, spray paint, super glue, old fabric scraps…they were all there in front of our eyes. By the way, these are my favorite tools. She demonstrated how she can “customize” a chair in little or no time at all.
Stop by soon…you will feel like Spring is here. Check out the website …a slide show of ideas.
Screen is two old doors fastened together behind the table. Looks like a tablesetting out of Martha’s…It’s a good thing book.
And now back to work. Enjoy!
P.S. Jeni’s new ice cream store…2 doors down the street. Salty Caramel!
