Badger’s STEW is cooking…Tailgate Time

It is going to be a great game this Saturday in the Shoe…thank you to the Spartans…It can be done!  So I have 2 recipes that I suggest for tailgating…in the crock pot…no mess, no fuss.  Along with the help of the Captain, you will stay warm!

 

Badger Stew

Fill the crock pot 3/4 full with vegetables…chopped to bite size.  You can use whatever you like: potatoes, celery, green beans, corn, carrots, mushrooms, onions.  Cover the vegetables with beef cubes…don’t worry about the cut of the meat as the magic of the crockpot will tenderize any meat….just like the Buckeyes will the Badgers.   Add one can of tomatoes, a bottle of spicy BBQ. Sauce, garlic, bay leaf, salt, pepper, Cajun spices…whatever you like…This always turns out great.

 

Tortilla Soup…another California Recipe from Andi

Make this in crock pot too.  So good and easy.

2 cans of undrained: pinto beans, black beans, kidney beans, green chillies

1 bag of frozen corn

1 rotisserie chicken in bite size pieces

2 packets of Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning

2 packets of Taco Seasoning

Of course garnish with taco chips…
