BIA 2012 Parade of Homes is open until next Sunday, July 1, 2012. (Meadows at Lewis Center, on Lewis Center Road, Olentangy School District) Mon.-Sat. 12-9 Sun. 12-6 I enjoyed the Realtor morning last Monday. I took several photos with my phone to share with you…too much for one blog so I am starting with doors. I have a special interest as our front door is now 19 years old, solid wood, but not holding up well anymore. I love the look and feel of solid wood…window replacement company found a solid mahogany door that may soon be our new front door…insulation is good, heavy, may last for another 20 years…I am good with that.
Loved this door at the parade…not excited about cut/glass doors, or frosted glass…they are everywhere…only problem with this door is the view in from outside…no privacy…very pretty door though… door seems smaller in photo…the door was very large and the wood was stained a great color. If you need to start shopping for a front door…there are alot of UGLY doors out there…not much to select from…at least in my experience…and CURB appeal so important.
Moving along…now that we are on the subject of doors:
Chalk Board Door…great idea for kids room…or maybe pantry…grocery list right there. Also glass door for Pantry…maybe frosted would be better…my pantry is not ready for all to see…love being able to close that door when guests arrive for dinner. Secret door in book shelves…great idea for someone with a messy office. Check out the screen door on the linen closet….
