Miles Apart but Still Close to Home/Heart…Happy Birthday Emily

As parents, one of our goals…actually the main goal is to gently guide our children to become caring, happy, independent, and productive adults.  And when they reach those goals, they certainly need less guidance…only some listening ears.  Today is a difficult day for me in that I can’t be with Emily on her birthday…it seems not a week goes by when someone asks me how can you survive your girls living so far away…Ohio..Arizona and California.

Phone,Text, Email, Face Time, Travel all help to keep us connected at least once a day.  I often wonder if we would stay as connected if we lived in the same city.  As parents we watch as our children become exactly what we wished for…and when they fly from the nest we have so many emotions…so today I feel proud that my baby is a caring, happy, independent and productive adult.

Happy Birthday Emily!
