BUYER…SELLER BEWARE ADVICE to ALL!
Before Selling or Buying a property select your team members. Many would ask, “What is the best way to find a winning team?”
Realtor: Interview several realtors, ask friends, colleagues, family for referrals. RECORD of Service begins with promptly answering all of your calls.
Home Inspectors: Home Inspectors do not have to be licensed in Ohio. Interview, ask to see a sample of their reports, ask friends for referrals, ask you realtor for more than one suggestion, check out Better Business Bureau.
Lenders: Interview several lenders. Know that many lenders will give you a preapproval which by no means is a loan commitment. They want your business. The ball sometimes drops if the lender fails to do due diligence. Again, referrals is often the best advice. Select a lender that promptly returns ALL of your calls.
Real Estate Attorney: Most buyers and sellers do not need an attorney, but it may be wise to have one that you could call if necessary.
Title Company: Research different Title Companies. You can also check with the Ohio Department of Commerce.
I have a team that works well together. The team members work together for a common goal…to provide service to the client and to always have the client’s best interest as a high priority! Although I give my clients a list of team members to select from, they can also select their own team members.
I do have a mental list of team members that have not been to practice often enough, don’t play fair, and/or don’t find team communication important. They don’t make the cut as my reputation could be tarnished by a losing team. My marketing plan is not based on my photo/words on billboards, grocery carts, or radio/television but client’s satisfaction.
